Fillers

Loss of facial volume and fullness can become a pressing aesthetic concern for women as they age. Fortunately, injectable fillers offer these individuals a simple way to correct wrinkles, fine lines, and loss of facial definition without the need for extensive downtime or uncomfortable surgery.

Georgia Center for Female Health is a proud provider of both cosmetic and medical procedures to patients at our Peachtree location. If you’d like more information about our practice or are interested in scheduling a consultation appointment, contact us today!

Juvéderm®

Juvéderm® is a hyaluronic acid-based injectable filler that was FDA-approved for cosmetic use in 2006. A single injection session of this product can provide patients with between six and twelve months of correction to crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, marionette lines, and nasolabial folds.

Because Juvéderm® is indicated with lidocaine, a mild anesthetic, the injection process is generally more comfortable than it is with other fillers. Each injection session only takes about 20 minutes to complete. While side effects like redness, pain, firmness, swelling, bruising, itching and discoloration at the injection site are common, these usually subside within a few hours of receiving treatment.

Radiesse®

Radiesse® is a versatile dermal filler that can be used to correct fine lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity on both the face and the hands. Unlike many other dermal fillers, Radiesse® is made of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. Once injected into this skin, these microspheres provide aging skin with both instant and sustained volume — the results of a single injection session have been known to last for a year or more.

Like Juvéderm®, Radiesse® can also be indicated with lidocaine to improve patient comfort during injections. Each injection session typically takes about 15 minutes to complete, with patients only experiencing minimal downtime once it’s over. While side effects like itching, swelling, discoloration, tenderness, and bruising at the injection site are fairly common, these usually fade within a few days of receiving treatment.

Restylane®

Restylane® is a hyaluronic acid based dermal filler that can be used to correct a broad range of aesthetic concerns, including thin lips, fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of volume. The results of a single injection session usually last between four and six months in facial wrinkles and up to a year in the lips.

Each injection session usually takes between 15-30 minutes to complete. Many patients experience swelling, discomfort, and redness after treatment that usually subside within a few days.
