Eileen A. Dover, APRN, CNM, MS, is an advanced practical registered nurse and board-certified nurse midwife at Georgia Center for Female Health in Peachtree Corners and Decatur, Georgia. Eileen’s contributions to her profession not only include her clinical work with patients, but also teaching students as a clinical nursing instructor for labor and delivery, postpartum and newborn care as well as serving as a preceptor for medical students, midwives, and nurse practitioners.
She began her journey to her nursing career as an undergraduate student at Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Georgia, where she earned an associate’s in nursing, graduating magna cum laude. Her drive for excellence continued at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where she received her bachelor’s in nursing with a minor in nursing administration, again graduating magna cum laude. Eileen then went on to earn a master’s in midwifery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
In addition to labor and delivery, Eileen’s specialty areas include family planning, postpartum, and GYN well-woman care. When she isn’t working with patients at Georgia Center for Female Health, Eileen is active as vice-chair for the North Alabama Regional and State Perinatal Advisory Committee for the State of Alabama Department of Public Health.
